Landslide uses PhotoBot to combine different landscape images to one gloomy setting. A random selection of the landscape images get a transparency gradient mask that fades their left and right edges, so a multitude of them can be placed next to each other with their edges flowing together. This combined image is then overlayed with an orange hue mask and a paint overlay image.
Other images can easily be selected of course. This way you can define your image manipulation techniques as NodeBox recipes, while leaving all base images unmodified and switchable.
