Switch Node

Posted by Jimmy Gunawan on Dec 21, 2009

Dear Team NodeBox,

Based on previous question regarding randomization using code, I found that switch () command is a very useful code.

Will "Switch Node" filtering be introduced in the future?

I am thinking for example:
1. You have few different shapes, and you plug all these into Switch Node. Switch node should then have some kind of ID based on how many objects it plugs into. If 0 = shape A, if 1 = shape B and so on. Which could easily randomize things.

2. The closest I could find is actually this Merge Node. In which we have listing of shapes in one and then we can change layering.

3. Say, we have many different color we like, and we wanted to use that color, maybe Switch node would be very useful as well to plug and carry on the data into the next shape.

What do you think? Thank you.
